Guardanship, Estate or Trust Administration
$6,500.00

I will advise and assist the nominated guardian(s), personal representative(s), and/or Trustee(s) in the proper administration of a Guardianship, Estate, or Trust, including all ordinary administration services. Extraordinary services are listed and charged at an additional $500.00 per hour.

Will Retention
$50.00

Your Will is the one document that your heirs may need in original form. If you hold your original Will and it cannot be found after your death, then the Court is required by law to presume that you destroyed the document with the intent to revoke it. It would be up to your heirs to prove that they have an accurate copy and that the original was destroyed by accident. You can help your heirs avoid the time, effort, and cost of proving a copy of your Will by having me retain it in a safe deposit box until needed.

Litigation
$0.00

Having litigated over guardianships, estates, and trusts for more than 25 years. I am perfectly capable of handling them when a fight breaks out. Litigation services are billed at $500 per hour in 6 minute increments.

Why We’re Different

For more than 25 years, Jay Kauffman has advised and assisted clients in litigating over guardianships, estates, and trusts. He’s seen all the many ways that plans can fail, and has implemented strategies in his own practice to help ensure that your plan is followed.

Over that time, Jay Kauffman has also seen many elderly people taken advantage of by their relatives, friends, and neighbors, essentially forced to create an estate plan they did not want. If you feel that happened to someone you know, I may be able to help you.

If you were a client of Sherilynne Marks, then you have found her court-appointed inventory attorney. I should have your estate planning file. Contact me below to discuss any changes you would like assistance in making, if you would like me to deliver your file to someone (mailing fees apply), or just to have me hold it for safekeeping until you are ready,
